Hallmark’s debut magazine — to hit the stands in August — will feature Beth and her new CD. It will be their Sept/Oct. issue. They’re flying a crew out from NYC to do photos for the issue. Woohoo! Beth is planning on throwing many tantrums and insisting on papaya flown in from Fiji. See future blog for the day’s events.

Beth was on the Do-It-Yourself panel at the Durango Songwriter’s Expo in Santa Barbara (June 1, 2, and 3).

USA songwriting competition announces contest winners.  Beth's song "Done" is a top 10 finalist in the Rock category. There were more than 30,000 entries in the contest!

Beth's song "Sunshine and Celluloid (If You Got What You Came For)" is in the Hillary Duff movie "The Perfect Man" released June 17, 2005. Beth is also on the soundtrack album.

Beth’s album “Beth Thornley”, has made it through another round at Performing Songwriter Magazine and has been chosen for a DIY Spotlight. You may remember that Beth's album was chosen to be reviewed by Performing Songwriter last December. (Click here to read the review). Now Beth has been selected to be interviewed and have one of her songs included on their next compilation CD. Check out the interview in the September '04 issue.

The Artist for Literacy project 2004 has chosen Beth's song "Don't Save Me" as one of the 12 best songs inspired by literature for their 3rd annual contest/CD compilation. She is in great company. Some of the well-know artists who've donated their songs to volumes one and two include Bruce Springsteen, Aimee Mann, David Bowie, Tom Waits, and Suzanne Vega. The 2004 DIY Music Festival will honor Beth Thornley's self-titled debut as its DIY Album of the Year at an awards ceremony and live music performance to be held on Thursday evening, Feb. 5 at the Derby in Hollywood, CA.
